Moving Rates

Many people who move for the first time wonder exactly how movers charge for their services. Here's an overview of the moving rates at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Altamonte Springs/Oviedo.

Local Moves

For local moves, we offer:

• Small Moves – Flat-Rate Pricing: A flat-rate for in-house moves of up to three pieces from one house to another.
• Large Moves – Hourly-Rate Pricing: All larger moves are billed at an hourly rate. This rate includes everything that the movers will need, such as dollies, truck, pads, straps or any other equipment. Depreciated valuation is included with no deductible.

Packing

Packing is billed as time and materials. Our packing services include all the boxes and materials needed to pack an entire home or business. We can pack one box, or the entire home or business. All items that we pack are insured by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Cleveland.

Load or Unload Only

Loading and unloading services are billed at an hourly rate. We offer this service for local, in-state and out of state relocation. We can also provide any supplies you may need, such as paper pads, shrink wrap and straps.

Long-Distance Moves

For long-distance moves, anything outside of Ohio, we charge a flat rate. It is a price that will not fluctuate. Other companies may give you an estimate based on weight and distance. Then, after they load the items on the truck, they go over a scale and determine the “actual” weight. This is when you hear the horror stories about the price doubling at the unload. For example, let's say it's estimated that you have 5,000 lbs on the truck, but you find out once it's weighed that it's actually 8,500 lbs. When this happens, the charges go up. To avoid this, we give you an exact price on what it will cost to get from point A to point B – regardless of weight.
